Devil Rays Blown Out by Twins

by @ 6:34 pm. Filed under 2007 Devil Rays

The Rays dropped to 4-7 today as the pitching took it on the chin.  Edwin Jackson dropped to 0-2 after he gave up five runs in three innings and the next three relievers all gave up runs as well.  When it was all said and done, the Twins had 12 runs and that was more then enough for them to walk away with the win.

Delmon Young finished with two hits and he extended his hitting streak to eleven games.  Carlos Pena made the loss a little bit less worse by hitting a three run homer in the ninth inning.

Jae Seo will try to salvage a split in the four game series as he takes on Boof Bonser.  Seo’s had a tough time so far this year and hopefully he’ll turn it around tomorrow.
