Devil Rays Come Back, Then Lose in the Ninth to Indians

by @ 6:08 pm. Filed under 2007 Devil Rays

This one was tough.  The Devil Rays scored single runs in the sixth and seventh to tie the game up, but then Juan Salas gave up what turned out to be the game winner in the top of the ninth as the Devil Rays lost 4-3.  Edwin Jackson had a mediocre start and he gave up three runs on five hits and five walks and he struck out five in six innings.

B.J. Upton hit his second homerun of the game.  Carl Crawford finished two for four with an RBI.

Jae Seo gets the start tomorrow in an evening game.  The Rays have lost three for four so hopefully Seo can turn things around.
