Elijah Dukes Homers Again As Rays Edge Yankees

The pitching wasn’t there but the Devil Rays outhit the Yankees today.  Elijah Dukes went yard with a solo shot but he struck out three times while Akinori Iwamura scored three times in the 7-6 win.  Ben Zobrist scored twice and stole two bases.

Jae Seo gave up five runs on eleven hits in the win.  Ruddy Lugo picked up the win while Al Reyes picked up a save with a perfect ninth.

So the Rays end up splitting the rain shortened series as the Rays head home for a three game series against the Blue Jays.  James Shields gets the start in the series opener.
