James Shields was knocked around yesterday by the Orioles offense in the Rays’ 9-7 loss.  He gave up five runs on nine hits and two walks with five strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings.  Jae Kuk Ryu took the loss after he gave up three runs without getting a single batter out.

The Rays did get some offense, it just wasn’t enough.  Ty Wigginton doubled and drove in three while Brendan Harris went three for four with two runs.  The series finale is tonight and it’ll be Casey Fossum throwing against Steve Trachsel.  That one could go either way
