After splitting the first two games on the road in Seattle, the Rays had to rally to win the third game of the four game series. The Rays trailed 5-0 in the second inning before coming all the way back to take the game. The Rays are 70-46.
Matt Garza started the game on the mound for the Rays and got hit around early. To his credit, he hung in there to put in five innings before handing the game over to the bullpen. Chad Bradford, the newest Ray, got the win as he threw two scoreless innings. Troy Percival threw a perfect ninth inning to pick up his 26th save of the season.
Akinori Iwamura led Tampa Bay with three hits while Gabe Gross added his ninth home run of the season. BJ Upton and Carl Crawford each had two RBIs. The Rays got the game scoring run in the top of the 11th inning on a Dioner Navarro sacrifice fly that scored Ben Zobrist.
The Rays and Mariners will finish their four game series on Sunday afternoon.
